Our heavy-duty 6' x 6' x 6' Coil Tarp (also known as a Coil Bag) is constructed in a tough 18 oz. PVC-coated polyester waterproof material (Note: While the material is waterproof, because our tarps have grommets / D-rings, they are considered water-resistant, not waterproof) that is durable by design. A coil tarp is a style of truck tarp commonly used to protect steel or aluminum coils, a cable spool, or other round-shaped items while being transported on a flatbed truck and trailer.

The top of the tarp has a cylinder shape to allow the top half of the tarp to fit over the coil allowing it to quickly cover the load. The lower part of the coil tarp has flaps to allow the tarp to fit around the transport chain securing the coil. A coil tarp will work when the coil is loaded in either the shotgun or suicide position and the tarp will be put in place after the chains have secured the cargo.

This flatbed tarp contains sturdy grommets around the hems and 2 rows of D-rings that go around all 4 sides of the tarp. Each D-ring has an abrasion-resistant pad underneath to protect the area when attaching S-hooks, rubber tarp straps, rubber rope, or other cargo tie-downs.
